voxpop

VoxPop is a digital transformation project of the mobility system in the city of Lisbon, which aims to address a set of non-technological challenges of digital innovation in the mobility sector.
VoxPop started in 2019 and involves various stakeholders in the local innovation ecosystem through an Alliance of Innovators. This alliance enables data sharing between public and private organizations, with the aim of creating mobility solutions that meet the needs of those who live, work, and visit Lisbon.

A significant element of the project is the creation and launch of an open call in which the community of innovators is invited to develop open-source digital solutions to improve the accessibility and safety of individuals or any vulnerable group whose mobility experience is restricted in the city of Lisbon.

VoxPop is led by CML (Lisbon City Council), with EMEL (Municipal Mobility and Parking Company of Lisbon) responsible for the overall project management. The consortium also includes the participation of CARRIS (bus company), Lisbon Metro, Transportes Metropolitanos de Lisboa (Metropolitan Transport Company of Lisbon), ARMIS (technology company), Beta-i (startup accelerator), and Deloitte Portugal.
EMEL is also responsible for a set of activities to promote the data-sharing ecosystem and identify/create new mobility solutions.
This project is co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (FEDER) through the Urban Innovative Actions (UIA) Initiative.
